Our courses are offered through self-learning. Materials are provided to students to review and prepare for the exam. Each week we start a new virtual program. You must spend a total of 40 hours including your First Aid / CPR in order to get a completion number and certificate. With the completion number you can apply to Serco (the company that administers the exam) to write your supervised exam. We are in the process of adding a learning platform with videos from seasoned security and law enforcement officers delivering the online modules. Currently you study from the manuals provided.
Course Content (minimum 40 hours):
Introduction to the Security Industry, The Private Security and Investigative Services Act ,Basic Security Procedures, Report Writing, Health and Safety, Emergency Response Preparation, Canadian Legal System, Legal Authorities, Effective Communications, Sensitivity Training, Use of Force Theory and Emergency Level First Aid Certification.
